Remember the poster for Scream 3? If you check it out, look under the title. You will find the tagline “The most terrifying scream is always the last.” They said that was true then, but we all knew it wasn’t the last film.
In the most recent months, there has been small talk circulating about Scream 4. Wes Craven is in talks to return to the director’s chair. David Arquette and Courtney Cox Arquette are reprising their roles as Dewey and Gail Weathers. And as for Neve Campbell?
Well, they somehow managed to get her to reprise her role as Sidney Prescott, the main character who manages to be the center of attention for all these homicidal maniacs.
The extent of her role is unknown. Up until now, it had seemed like she wasn’t going to return to the franchise. So if I had to guess, it would be a cameo. But who knows? She could be in it for the long haul!
Scream 4 starts production next Spring and will apparently be the start of a new trilogy. Let’s hope it is a lot better than Scream 3!
