I’m pretty sure we all knew this was coming. After PlayStation 3 followed X-Box’s example, it was very likely that one day Nintendo would embrace the Netflix application.
Like the PlayStation 3, you will have to obtain a disc in order to enable the application. Nintendo’s press release seems to suggest that the disc is not simply an install disc, but something that is always necessary to use the application. So it seems to be slightly more of a hassle than it is on X-Box 360, in which the application is always listed within the Video Marketplace browser.
Netflix doesn’t come to the Wii until sometime this spring, but you are able to reserve your disc from Netflix.
