Hey you guys! It’s been 25 years and what better way to celebrate The Goonies’ anniversary than to get your sweaty palms on this previously unreleased score? Like many other 80′s classics, The Goonies had an incredible score, but only received a soundtrack album, which mostly featured songs from Cyndi Lauper, The Bangles, and REO Speedwagon and included roughly 3 minutes of Dave Grusin’s memorable score. At one point, select cues were re-recorded and released as a suite track, but this is the first time that the complete, original score has been released.
Limited to 5000 copies, Varese Sarabande’s release includes 80 minutes worth of music. It won’t ship until March 15th, but you can pre-order it here.
