According to Deadline, actor Mark Ruffalo is in final stage negotiations to *ahem* “HULK OUT” for Marvel Studios upcoming superhero smorgasboard The Avengers.
He is current favourite to replace Edward Norton, who very recently and very PUBLICLY has been given his marching orders from Marvel Studios Chief Kevin Feige.
Ruffalo is charismatic, amiable – and gave good performances in Collateral and Zodiac. There is a good chance he will be very engaging in the role. The fact that he shares a passing resemblance with Bill Bixby doesn’t hurt either.
Joss Whedon’s The Avengers will be out in 2012.
