Bryan Singer Wants Back for Another X-Men Film

Will he re-enroll into Xavior’s School for the Gifted?

3603_4508Those of you who feel that the X-Men film series has been reduced to shambles ever since director Bryan Singer left the series after X2: X-Men United might get excited over what Singer recently said at a film festival in South Korea.

“I’m still looking to possibly returning to the ‘X-Men’ franchise. I’ve been talking to Fox about it,” Singer said at a talk at the Pusan International Film Festival. ”I love Hugh Jackman. I love the cast,” he said, referring to the Australian actor who plays Wolverine.

I personally found some entertainment out of Brett Ratner’s X-Men 3: The Last Stand, but something felt off. Some of the dialogue was poor and it just seemed to miss that special touch Singer brought to the first two films. Supposedly, Singer had a different idea involving Emma Frost and Pheonix, something that could have potentially made for a better story but just never made it to the light of day. It’s like watching Richard Lester’s Superman II, which is an entertaining film, but certainly should have been directed by the original’s Richard Donner. Speaking of which, I wouldn’t mind seeing Singer get another shot at Superman as well.
