The BBC are reporting that Spielberg has plans to remake Jaws in 2015. This will be the first time he has remade one of his own films and his reason for doing it is due to the technical advancements in technology.
Jaws in 3D with a digital shark will enable Spielberg to remake Jaws with his original vision which included a lot more of the shark. As most people know, Spielberg had plans to use the model shark a lot more than was actually shown in the 1975 version because the “Shark was not working”.
No casting to date but early rumours suggest Gerald Butler will play Chief Brody.
