Back in August, the creators of His Name is Jason: 30 Years of Friday the 13th began filming a Freddy-themed documentary made by the fans for the fans.
While His Name is Jason was cheesy in the vein of VH1′s I Love the 80′s, Never Sleep Again: The Elm Street Legacy will offer up a more serious look at the behind the scenes saga of 1984′s A Nightmare on Elm St., a film that almost didn’t survive it’s complicated production, managing to produce one of the biggest horror icons in American cinema, as well as spawning six sequels, a short lived television series, a spinoff film with Jason Voorhees, and an upcoming remake.
Look for the DVD to hit store shelves Spring 2010.
